I have just recently started exercising trying to loose weight and i have a few questions if anyone knows the?

Personally I would not use a treadmill, or abe lounge or weights, let alone run or jog. The reason because these are what they term high impact on the joints and high impact and over weight equal Arthritis. Therefore the less high impact you do, until you have lost the weight the better off you would be in the long run. I would look around and see if their are any Pilate's Cles in your area. Pilate's is a exercise where the only thing you need is a mat as all exercises use your own body weight as the equipment. Initially you start off with the belly, yep the nice corset of muscle that is supposed to be a corset, hold your spine in place and expands due to babies. It also incorporates pelvic floor muscles, core stability and then once you learn how to isolate muscle groups, well then you are off. I took it up because I have Rheumatoid Arthritis and high impact was a big no go area. I just wanted to get fit, lost pounds in body weight, regain a upright posture and got more out of it than I thought I would gain. I can recall being in the shower one night and noticing these lumps at the top of my leg, kinda inner thigh, shock horror. So I mentioned it to the Pilate's Physiotherapist who burst out laughing? I have never seen lumps like this, so why was she laughing? Seems my lumps were something called muscles! I also think it is a cardio exercise as it teaches you breathing and you have to breath a certain way depending on what exercise you are trying to achieve. I am now Menopausal and I umed I would pile the weight on and my get bigger? Well, no weight and my s have shrunk, so I ume the Pilate's kicked my sluggish system into over drive? Whatever it did, the weight has stayed off and I am trying to put it on, as it keeps falling off! Best of Luck
