My camera screen is black in view mode?

I just got a new Fuji S5600 a few days ago, and then suddenly yesterday whenever I go into view mode to look at the pictures, the screen is black. I'm still learning how to work everything on it, so there might be some simple reason for why this is happening, but I really have no idea what's wrong or what I can do to fix it. Any ideas?
