How do I divide a room for cheap?

I'm about to move into a new house where I will be sharing the basement with another girl, but privacy is important to me. She suggested that we hang a curtain, but that's not private enough for me. I looked at room dividers, and some of them are really expensive! I like the accordion style doors, but I can only seem to find them in small sizes. I need like 8 feet. What do you suggest would be a good way to divide the basement for cheap?
