Do you pay for a pc-to-pc chat with web cam on thru yahoo messenger? ?

am making a call thru internet but i worried about the charges, my friend told me it's free however I'm apprehensive whether it's true ot not, that's WHY am here in this site to inquire and ask? please give me some answers?
