American Eagle Jeans?

I have a few pairs of american eagle jeans, and i notice that there are different styles and they all fit differently!! Im a size 8. AE artist feels sooo snug, and makes me feel like i should be a size 10! and AE boyfriend is so loose on me, that it feels like i should have bought them in size 6! and AE hipster in size 8 is a little big on me too. Am i actually a size 6 then, and should just not buy AE artist? What is your opinion, does anyone else have the same problem? Thanks!
